 Mexico team enjoys trip to Fresno

Carolina Corral could hardly move.

Her leg was shaking and her heart racing, and the rest of Corral's body seemed unresponsive before her first high jump attempt at the Run For the Dream meet Sunday at the Save Mart Center.

Corral is a track and field member of the Tec de Monterrey Campus Ciudad de Mexico that competed in Fresno's annual indoor meet, which attracted 22 universities throughout the West, including national power UCLA.

Monterrey Tech, as the meet announcer nicknamed Corral's school after initially calling it Mexico Tech, was the only team that came from outside the United States to compete in the event.
