Elba Esther Gordillo accused of embezzlement
Elba Esther Gordillo, head of Mexico’s national teachers’ union, has a
reputation for expensive tastes, from luxury homes to plastic surgery.
She is known simply as The Teacher, a union boss of such legendary influence
that she was credited with putting a president in office and, until this week,
so untouchable she flaunted her apparently dubious wealth with abandon. Now Elba
Esther Gordillo is behind bars over the alleged embezzlement of stratospheric
amounts of union funds.
Gordillo, leader of
the 1.5 million-strong national teachers' union in Mexico, was arrested on
Tuesday evening after the private jet in which she had travelled from California
landed at an airport near the capital. She spent the night in a Mexico City jail
before appearing in court where she was formally read the charges of "operations
with resources of illicit origin" and "organised crime".
MY OPINION
ELBA WERE, IS AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE A (BITCH) BAD PERSON WHO STOLES MONEY AND SPEND IT IN STUPID THINGS FOR HERSELF. SHE IS SUPOSED TO BE THE TEACHER LEADER BUT SHE JUST STOLES MONEY.
I THINK, LIKE MUST OF THE MEXICANS, THAT THIS IS JUST AWAY TO MAKE PEÑA NIETO LOOK GOOD; THAT HE DID SOMETHING FOR THE MEXICANS BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT THIS IS A LIE A, WAY OF COVERING OTHER THINGS.
SHE WILL NEVER BE IN JAIL SHE IS GOING TO BE IN HER HOUSE HAPPYIY ALONE AND RICH FOR EVER. WELL NOT ALONE BECAUSE SOME STUPIS PEOPLE STILL SUPORTING HER.
