Poaching

Poaching is the unlawful or illegal taking of wild plants or animals, such as through hunting, harvesting, fishing, or trapping.

-Hunting-

To chase or search for (game or other wild animals) for the purpose of catching or killing.

A lot of people hunt for fun and they also call it a sport but this will never be a sport for me.

-Trapping-
Is the use of a device to remotely catch an animal.

I also hate this but they use it when they need to examinate the animal or when it is a pest control. But is not necesary to hurt them.

-Fishing-

The activity of catching fish, either for food or as a sport.

Most of the times fishing is for food but they also kill whales, seals, sharks, exotic animals, etc... for fun.

-Harvesting-

Is the process of gathering mature crops from the fieldsReaping is the cutting of grain or pulse for harvest.

People harvest when they plant plants, but when they only harves they cause the extinction of the plant. Also when people destroy enire forests there are bigger problems.

-Deforestation-

To cut down and clear away the trees or forests from.

This is very dangerous because you are not only destroying an habitat you are also detroying animals house and it affects all of us because there is less oxigen.

-Reasons for poaching-

Food: people eat these species and also there is people that want to eat the last animal of some kinds of animals.

Zoo: They trap animals for the zoos.

Sport: People think and consider hunting, fishing, etc... as a sport.

Pest control: Some times the goberment must control the animals that cause damages or when they are too much.

Tradicional medicine: Specialy in old parts, people kill animals or plants to do tradicional medicine.

Money: People that just kill for money, I hate them >:(

Perfume: A lot of exotic plants are used to make perfumes.

Clothing: People want to look good with animal skin.

etc...

-Effects on ecosystems and wildlife-
Poaching has the potential to cause endangered species to go extinct, as it severely lowers the number of animals found in the wild if not stopped. For example, the number of tigers in the wild has severely declined to less than 3,500. This is caused mostly by the high price the body parts of the tiger fetches on the black market, and the belief that parts such as their bones can be used as medicine.

Fragile ecosystems can be severely impacted by the illegal killing of animals. These effects could be irreversible, and devastating. In the case of the tiger, if the species goes extinct, it could collapse an entire ecosystem. Since the tiger is a predator, the lack of tigers could cause the numbers of the animals they prey on - primarily herbavores - to increase exponentially. The increase of typically-hunted herbivores and the lack of predators in the wild could cause the amount of natural flora to diminish, and exhaust the food supply of other animals, thus destroying an entire food chain

-Conservation of species-

1. Protect Wildlife Habitat

One of the most important ways to help threatened plants and animals survive is to protect their habitats permanently in national parks, nature reserves or wilderness areas. There they can live without too much interference from humans. It is also important to protect habitats outside reserves such as on farms and along roadsides.

2. Join a Conservation Organization

3. Reduce the Threat of Invasive Species

4. Recycle and Reduce Energy and Goods Consumption

Recycle, Reduce, And Reuse
  • Encourage your family to take public transportation. Walk or ride bicycles rather than using the car.
  • Save energy by turning off lights, radios and the TV when you are not using them.
  • Turn off the tap while you brush your teeth and use water-saving devices on your toilet, taps and showerhead.
  • Ask your parents to buy products and food without packaging whenever possible. Take your own bag to the store. It will reduce the amount of garbage and waste your family produces.
  • Recycle your toys, books and games by donating them to a hospital, daycare, nursery school or children's charity.
  • Encourage your family to shop for organic fruits and vegetables.

5. Minimize use of Herbicides and Pesticides

6. Voice Your Concerns and Get Involved Locally

My opinion:

I think this is something we all know but no one does something for a change. It is horrible to see how people treat the nature, we depend from it. Another thing that is horrible to is when people kill for fun, when you kill for food is called predation and is something natural but for fun is hunting. :(

Sorry that is in spanish but its true :)

Chapultepec
Chapu

Born with the name of La Fayette, which remained for many years in the mouths of the tapatios, after naming changed to Chapultepec.

In 1948, during the government of Jesus Gonzalez Gallo takes place the urbanization of the colony, and the construction of the avenue, the whole costing four million and a half, the avenue by architect Julio de la Peña.

Among all the avenues of the city highlights this by its size, monuments, trees and modern buildings.

It has the wide central median strip with benches for rest, fountains, bronze sculptures of each of the Young Heroes and Ignacio Zaragoza, as well as two books on pedestal bronze also with texts by Mariano Otero and Ignacio L. Vallarta, on both sides of the crossing on Avenida Vallarta.

This place is amazing during the day and also during the night.

Chapultepec is fast becoming a mecca for cafes, restaurants and bars of every type. A new one seems to sprout up every week which make the choices almost endless.

When it is open , the meridian is a place for people to walk, musicians to play music, and a small market takes place each Saturday evening.

You can find live music in a number of bars throughout the week .

It has a lot of things you can visit like bars, restaurants, etc.. and they are also a lot of concerts there; a famous place you can visit is the fly market or tianguis on Sundays, you can find a lot of things like crafts, books, paints, oddities, rare stuff, etc.. It is a perfect for a family day.

 In my opinion:
Chapultepec is a place were you can never get bored, there are a lot of places and people. When I went there was a display of videogames so they were more interesting and rare stuff to see.
You have to be openmineded because you are going to see people that is different from you.
I liked it a lot I will come back someday. ;)

FUNDATION

The original town of Guadalajara was founded on January 5, 1532 by Crístobal de Oñate, who had been commissioned by Nuño de Guzmán. It consisted of 42 inhabitants, on the Mesa del Cerro, near the border of Nochistlán in the province of the Teúl, today known as San Juan. The name Guadalajara was chosen after the birthplace of Nuño de Guzmán in Spain. The town lasted for only a short time at this site.During the Colonial era, Guadalajara became the capital of Nueva Galicia and after the War of Independence it became the capital of the Intendencia of Guadalajara.

It was built in 1952, and it contains seventeen columns which mark off a circular space, containing ninety-eight urns with the remains of the figures honored.

Current life

Guadalajara is a typical and normal city like any other, a difference can be that it is too insecure but in Mexico most of the cities are. Another thing that has in common is the politic problems like we all know that almost all of the money is stolen by the goberment so most of us hate politic.
Another problem is the culture about taking care of things, a lot of people don´t care about anything.
However we have a normal life like any other city; children adolecsents and adults go yo school or go to work, etc...

Nightlife

Night life is also normal; young adults go to nightclubs, parties, etc... Atually adults have adopted the culture of the casinos that is becoming a problem in a lot of families.

There is a curios thing about Guadalajara´s nightlife and is about mens dressed as woman and selling theirselves.

Politics

Like other municipalities in Mexico, Guadalajara is governed by a municipal president, who exercises executive power for three consecutive years, this office is currently occupied by Jorge Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz candidate for the PRI. The legislature has the cabildo, formed by the form chosen by the candidate for mayor, made up of aldermen, who are not elected by the people by direct or indirect voting, but the return happens automatically if the mayor wins.
